Terry Gornell came to the attention of Tranmere Rovers fans whilst out
on loan at Accrington Stanley during the 2008/09 season, when during an
eleven game loan spell he scored four goals for the League Two club.
Another product of the Tranmere Centre of Excellence, Gornell actually made his debut for Rovers in their second game of the 08/09 season, coming on as a substitute in a League Cup tie at Grimsby Town, but it wasn't until after his spell at Accrington that he played for Tranmere again.
Since returning from Accrington though, Gornell has been a regular in the Rovers matchday squad, having made 45 appearances for the club ahead of the start of the 2010/11 season, scoring four goals.

striker Gornell holds a tall posture and is strong at holding the ball
up with his back to goal or flicking the ball on to his team mates
around him.
Gornell's goalscoring record for the Tranmere first team as of yet has not been impressive, but with the right players around him, and some confidence behind him, the Liverpool born striker could be a very important player for the club.
