This match is vital depending how Les sets up the team and if he tells them to go for the jugular and go for the three points
from the start and if we can get an early goal not only hold onto the lead but try to increase that lead.
Three points would be great it would give the team a lift and
take stock for the next target, a draw would not be the end of the world so long as we could pick up three points from the next away game(Chesterfield) so we need at least four points from the next two away games( at worst one win better than two draws).This would then lead us into three home games on the so we need to be in the position of no defeats before these home games if we ever needed a run of games with positive results it`s now and the target of points out of the next five games must be at least 11pts out of 15.If we can get that target after those five games we will know how the season may pan out, but the last thing we do not need tomorrow is a defeat,it is time that the team pulled out all stops I think they have the skills.
Another defeat tomorrow may determine which path they are going to go down.(onwards and upwards is the call)

I think at least 9 from 15 is mandatory. Considering consistent playoff form all season is around 52%-53%, 66.66% would really be a good platform to shoot away from the bottom 4, but obviously 11 is better.

Though for those who occasionally like to misinterpret things, no I'm not saying the playoffs would be realistic for Tranmere, if they averaged what a team in 2nd or 3rd might average every 5 games.

Ok Les gloves off now were 1-0 down get some else up forward we need Robbo/Showumni added up front we can not sit back now
we have to go for it,we need that extra up front in the next five/ten minutes and not to be left for a change in the last ten or so and Simpson just nearly made it 2-0.

The main fault with this view is the gap is now down to two points we get beat next week and Yeovil Exeter Scunthorpe all at home all win and Walsall manage to win away not impossible if Wycombe can score 5 at home as they did today , then we are in the bottom four.

@gony I am starting to think you are either Les himself or a relative. There is being positive and then there is just being plain naive and ridiculous.

We have won 1 bloomin game in NINETEEN. Who cares if we are still 17th? should we celebrate? We were around the top 6 in October FFS.

We just don't win football matches. Soon we will be in the bottom four, then maybe even bottom. What will you say then? Unbelievable.

Les has gone beyond delusion saying we had turned a corner because we drew a few games. Well another game without a goal and a defeat proves that we haven't.

Next week - Sure fire home win C/Field v Tranmere- A team who do everything apart from score !!!. Probably 1-0/2-0

We haven't won since 25th October 2011...despite playing 19 times since then....So that's 7, yes 7, wins in 32 attempts.
The Manager, if we can call him that, is an absolute disgrace and a total disaster.

Did you go mate, were we that bad? Dickov doesn't seem to think they were too threatened by us

Frenchrover we beat Bury in December, that was the last win.

Also Tranmere couldn't afford the required loan percentage for Lateef because they offered something for him again and it was rebuffed so with respect you were wrong to scold Les for that.

Les said the singing was putting players off apparently, as they told him. Though he isn't using that as an excuse.

I think that is a bit unfair of the supporters to do that. They should be reserving the anti-tranmere propaganda songs for the end of matches and preferably if they feel the need to sing, perhaps aim the singing at Les not players.

I don't know what was and wasn't sung, but it won't help players, if they get their own fans singing and chanting stuff that affects how they play.

PJ seems blissfully unaware that we are facing relegation this season! How on earth Les is still in charge after such a long and appauling run is anyone's guess?! Surely it MUST be time for Parry to go no matter how great a servant he's been! He is unable to turn things around and ONE win in 19 suggests he is completely out of his depth! He cannot be left in his current position until May because we WILL most definitely go down! It really is heartbreaking to watch this slow demise which started way back in October! Go now Les please for the good of the club you yourself support!

Looks like we are going to visit some new grounds next season.Has anyone been to Fleetwood,Crawley Town, Burton or Morecambe grounds.

Crawley are quite likely to be in Division 1.

I wasn't at the game yesterday so can't comment on how we played.

However, I have to say that this 451 formation is an absolute joke. It's basically saying to the players, your not good enough to go and win the game so were going to defend a go for a draw. I think that's an insult to the players we have who I believe are better than our current position shows. What I don't understand is were desperate for goals and yet he still insists on playing one up front. Granted we've hardly got a goal machine on the bench but surely as the saying goes 2 heads are better than one.

What also perplexes me is that not a few games ago we had Devaney behind Tiryaki and it actually worked but now all of a sudden it's back to square one, even though that's not worked since October.

I'm getting to a point now where I fear for our future. Were deep in the doo doo but yet our manager seems clueless to make changes and our chairman doesn't seem to care what happens to us. The only slight escape route is the Ingleborough deal but some of our neighbours believe that a piece of grass is more important to our community than a football club so that looks likely to never go through.

I mean how depressing is that 11 years ago we were on our way down to Wembley for a major cup final and now were 2 points outside the relegation zone in League 1 with the worst run of form in the league. If that's not a reason to make the change now, I don't know what is.

Yep, we have the worst form since late October of ANY league club! Anybody else would have made a managerial change by now with just ONE win in 19 matches! Horrendous run of results which normally leads to a dismissal! PJ lost the plot years ago and is content to see Rovers slide down the table! Les has been given more than a fair crack at management but has fallen short! The club is run like Woolworths on a pick and mix budget! Parry wont walk voluntarily but must now be wondering where his next win comes from! Without a change we're going down!

Hoots, I thought by what Les said, he was highlighting a direct effect on players from rhetoric, not as a side effect of what he recieved.

I didn't perceive it as an excuse, just Les simply highlighting something that may affect performances, not Les actually saying it cost them the game.

I think it is a bit unfair, because people could reserve their actions for the last 10 minutes or after the whistle, not for a whole 45 minutes or more.

Fans would then make an impact, without necessarily affecting action that is nearly or completely over.

An occasional outburst by one fan happens, but when people appear to do it en masse, then it could become unfair, if you have people making frequent and very audible negative respostes, for a significant section of a game.

The fans keeping quiet about their feelings during this horrendous run until yesterday has not had an impact either-it's just gone on longer and longer and our position has got worse and worse.There's only so much that people can take without voicing their disapproval-it appears that that point was reached yesterday.

We may have been in 17th position for a while but when we started off in 17th we were seven points ahead of the pack we are now down to two points so if we continue in the same mathematical vain and results go that way for us and the teams below us there is only one out come those teams below us will over take us and we will no longer be in 17th but in the bottom four it will happen unless we start winning games.

so, in about three months a bit after loosing 6 on the trot we have stayed 17th, and conceeded five points to the teams below us ! hardly the ***n disaster and calamity so many are making of it

Has it occured to you that those teams are showing sings of hitting form? That amazingly they could overtake us? The only way we can get out of it is by winning games. We have won ONE since October.

Am i missing something here? Give me strength. Also Les is definitely using the fans as an excuse, or else he wouldn't have mentioned them the way he did. The man is a disgrace.

i agree,parry must live in cookoo land on planet parry.one win in 17 league games. 9 points out of 51.way to go les.but dont worry, parry says we can win 5 out of the last 14 games.delusion at its highest, we've only won 8 out of 32.its about time parry stopped blaming everyone else but himself.the latest was to blame the fans. he's not up to the job, he never has been.

just on the formation, we all seem to know that 4-5-1 doesnt work in this league, but Les seems to want to play 9-0-1 and that worked brilliantly for 25 minutes, it was still 0-0 at that point.
Why can't we just defend higher up the pitch rather than all in or around our penalty area. leave the defending to the defenders and make the midfielders do the hard work of geting up and down the pitch.
I was quite impressed that Les made a substitution with over 20 minutes to go.....but why didn't we try and play with 2 attackers in their box - we were 1-0 down by then. ClueLESs of course. What do the other two "Coaches" actually do? I thought the one with the Clipboard must be on secondment from Arriva.
