After three days of voting the results are in and we can confirm that Lois Maynard was the player you voted as your Man of the Match for the game at home to Barrow on Tuesday night......

After an encouraging performance all round from the Rovers players on Tuesday evening as Gary Brabin's side triumphed 2-0 over Barrow at Prenton Park, it could be assumed that the choice for the Man of the Match as chosen by Total Tranmere readers would be a difficult one to make and so the result proved.
In the end it was a two horse race for first place between Connor Jennings and Lois Maynard with the latter coming out on top by just one vote over Jennings who was of course a summer signing from Wrexham.

Maynard excelled playing as part of the midfield in front of the Rovers back four against Barrow - a position which he only moved into with a minute of the game gone after Liam Ridehalgh's injury before kick off. That injury saw Jeff Hughes move to cover the left-back position with Maynard taking Hughes' place in midfield. Lee Vaughan was the player substituted in to replace Ridehalgh in the starting eleven, coming in at the right-back position vacated by Maynard.
In the poll, opening goal scorer Andy Cook came in third place followed by Jay Harris in fourth. Other votes were shared between Steve McNulty, James Norwood, Jeff Hughes and Steven Jennings with Scott Davies, Lee Vaughan, Michael Ihiekwe and substitute Jake Kirby all failing to score a vote this time around.
Thanks to everyone who voted this time around and stay tuned after the game on Saturday afternoon at home to Eastleigh for another chance to vote for your Man of the Match from that game!
