After Tranmere continued their 100% start to the new season with a third successive win after beating Eastleigh at home on Saturday afternoon, we are once again giving you the chance to vote for your Man of the Match from the game as our post-match poll series returns for the new season.
Rovers dominated the match from start to finish and took the lead in the 25th minute when James Norwood's excellent free-kick had Huddart scrambling in the Eastleigh goalmouth. The Keeper did get his hands to the ball to make the save but Steven Jennings was on hand to smash the rebound into the roof of the net to give Rovers a deserved lead.
The lead though only lasted six minutes as the Rovers defence switched off all at the same time to allow former Rovers defender Adam Dugdale the easiest of five yard tap-ins for 1-1.
James Norwood scored Rovers late, late winner against Eastleigh
After a couple of missed penalty calls in favour of Rovers as well as misses from Maynard and Cook amongst others, Tranmere got a penalty when Lois Maynard was felled in the area but James Norwood who until that point had a 100% success rate from the spot for Rovers, smashed his penalty onto the lower side of the crossbar from where it bounced down and was then cleared.
That miss looked to sum up Rovers luck on the day but in the fourth and last minute of injury time, a great header through from Connor Jennings saw James Norwood onside and clear on goal and the striker made no mistake this time, slotting home low into the corner to seal a breathtaking and fully deserved win for Rovers.

Maynard again we seem to have found his best role in our team. Some of the runs he is doing he just walks past them with the ball and strong just what we need.
Tough, all played well, between Maynard & Hughes for me, C Jennings in the mix too, just because he seems to be the first tricky winger we've had for a long time, if he grew his hair he would be reminiscent of Morrisey with those little twists, legs and ball go one way body another, he's had a very good game, but I'll go Maynard again, controlled midfield with some solid tackles, won the ball well, was up for the fight ins very controlled way, laid off some good little passes of a variety of range, and some driving runs forwards, maybe the Kop could come up with some sort of chant around him being a Non League Vieria.
Never thought I would say it but a much improved Steve Jennings for me scored one made the winner ,just wish Tranmere were more vocal like Eastleigh were perhaps the Eastleigh goal could have been prevented if the 3 Tranmere defenders had shouted to each other I myself would have a more vocal captain than Jennings ,but good on him for his improvement

Maynard for me,closely followed by C Jennings. Connor Jennings is in some ways on a different level to others around him. He was getting frustrated because there wasn't always the movement around him to allow him to make forward passes that would threaten Eastleigh. Several times he had to hold up play while others caught on to what could be achieved. Overall a superb result.
