As Rovers remained top of the National League and also remained unbeaten following this afternoon's 1-1 draw away at Southport, we are once again giving you the chance to vote for your Man of the Match from the game as our post-match poll series continues for the new season.

Rovers were sluggish for the first time the season, perhaps a result of the early number of games played combined with Rovers mostly naming an unchanged winning line-up in all of those games.  Despite the underperformance compared to recent matches, Rovers were still the better side in the game as Southport performed to the expected Debry-day levels that other teams so far this season may not have encountered.

Andy Cook was on the Scoresheet again for Rovers at Southport

Rovers failed to score in the first half of a game for the first time this season despite being the better side but shortly after the break, some great work by Connor Jennings found Andy Cook in some space.  The striker showed some nifty footwork to sidestep a defender before blasting home to make it 1-0 to Rovers.

The goal though woke up the hosts and within 15 minutes they were level through a fluke of a goal when Almond's cross somehow found its way into the goal to equalise.

Southport pressed Rovers in search of a winner but by the end it was Rovers who looked the most likely side to win the game but unlike in previous matches, the late winning goal failed to materialise.
