Mellon Returns as Rovers Manager

It's a quick Prenton Park for return for Micky Mellon as he is announced as the replacement as Manager following the departure of Keith Hill.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He brought success to Tranmere and then he left for a new challenge but less than one year on from that departure, he is back in the Prenton Park hotseat as the replacement for outgoing Manager Keith Hill - welcome back Micky Mellon!

 

 

 

To the delight of Rovers fans, it was announced last week that the man who had overseen three successive play-off final trips and two successive promotions, was to return as Manager with former caretaker Manager pair Ian Dawes and Andy Parkinson remaining on the coaching staff for the 2021-22 season which will begin in August.

 

After Rovers were contraversially demoted to League Two when the 2019/20 season was curtailed, Mellon was appointed Manager of Scottish Premier League side Dundee United but after one season he left the City of Dundee and was shortly afterwards appointed Rovers Manager once more.
