First 5 weeks are interesting, culminating with Wrexham at home. Suspect that game might be moved to Sky.
Also wonder if the games against Accrington and Salford will be moved to Friday night. Have particular reasons for hoping the Accrington game will be moved.

That's a tough start to the season. I hope it goes well. The first game is nice at home but as a collection the first 5 games will test us.

So the 2 sides that have come up from NL we will play within a week of each other quite early in the season.. Sat 26th Aug - Notts County (a), Sat 2nd Sep - Wrexham (h)...
i was looking back at some of our previous games vs Notts County and saw that 10 years ago we played them at Meadow Lane, the season we got relegated from L1, and in the Notts side that day was a 17 year old Jack Grealish, who was on loan to them from Villa..

3 of our first 4 league games are at Prenton, and if we get a home draw in 1st round of Carabao then that will mean 4 of our first 5 games will be at home.

Barrow at home on my birthday totally messed up my away day plan!
At least we can get to a decent fixture at Notts County away before my son goes on his travels to study/work. He also gets to see the Wrexham home game which has worked out well.
Is it deliberate that we get Bradford at home on a Tuesday again; I’m sure that’s three seasons on the trot.

We couldn't have asked for a tougher August and September, probably playing everyone whos a promotion contender, when we are 8th at the end of Sept they'll all start on Dawsey!

I think August looks favourable to get some points on the board early on. Should always be expecting to win at home to Barrow and Harrogate. We always seem to do well v Salford. Our Last MK Dons away game was also memorable and I don’t think the relegated teams will be that strong, similar to last year.

I'm glad people can discuss the fixtures.
There should be some interesting fixtures, like Bradcaster, Donford, MK Gate, Harrodons, Wrexford FC and Solham. I think they will be pushing for top 7.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Playing against Rochdale right now. It looks like only the goalie wasn't here last year from the starting XI.

Turnbull sent off and gives away a penalty. The commentary on twitter reckons it was innocuous.
Yes, I'm too lazy to start a Rochdale friendly thread.
Scored.

Turnbull is good for a couple of red cards each year🤦🏼♂️
McAlear & Merrie FBs again I seen, we really need this Bristow replacement in ASAP in addition to another 3-4.
Given our injuries and less for any incomings, it looks like there won’t be much change in the starting 11 from last season. Really need to add creativity and pace, losing Bristow & JDC we suddenly look like the slowest team ever.
Been bitten by the treatment table again, though both Dennis & Norris were injured when we signed them, sounds familiar. Maybe that’s why no one else is moving out, we need cover atm. Hemmings also keeps picking up these little injuries, surprising he appears to be staying.
Overall the squad is still massively imbalanced and we need a few soon as if they are to be ready for Barrow. Gone from a signing to many defenders last summer to signing/keeping to many strikers, most of whom are injured 🤣
