Today, Tranmere confirmed the signings and contract renewals of 7 players.

Firstly there were the two new signings, both have filled gaps left by players who opted to leave at the summer. Shrewsbury winger, Sam Aiston, is someone Brian Little feels will be a great signing.

Rovers have been without a left winger for a season, and have tried to use left back Gareth Roberts there, but now we can have to naturally left footed players on the wing. The 28 yea old has played for both Sunderland and Newcastle and also had a loan spell at local rivals, Chester.

Goalkeeper, Steve Wilson, has played for Hull and Macclesfield. Wilson caught Little's eye when palying for Hull, while Little was managing tem. Little calls Wilson "very bright and lively"

Thankfully, Rankine has decided to go against his earlier decision, and not go into retirement just yet. The veteran midfielder has opted to stick with Rovers for another season, and earn promtion.

Jamaican duo, Ian Goodison and Theo Whitmore have also opted to stay at Tranmere, also signing one year deals.

And two youthes have now signed professional contracts, Joe Fowler and Paul Martin, so just a regular day at the office then.
