Taylor - Everton Deal Closer Than Ever

After months of specualtion, it seems Ryan Taylor has done all but put pen to paper on a deal, that will see him cross the Mersey to Everton.

According to sources, Ryan Taylor will be making the switch before the week is up, and is believed to be in a region of £1million. The rumours started when Norwich managed conceded in the battle to sign the right back. But he also said that Everton were to big of an offer for Ryan, confirming he had signed for Everton.

But this passed and died down, but there have been many suggestions one of them being that Ryan has stayed just so season tickets sales don't fall. I for one don't believe in this one bit, but it does seem strange that a club like Everton, who are under going preperation for their Champions League qualifiers, would waste time in getting a squad together.

Ryan collected many accolades last season, including PFA's League One Team of the Year, 4-4-2's Team of the Year, Young Player of the Season, and most importantly, Total Tranmere's Young Player of the Season. The attention is no surprise to manager, Brian Little, who claims Ryan is “the best right back in League One.”

Earlier on in the close season, Brian Little slapped a £1.3 million price tag onto Ryan's head, and rejected offers from clubs like Manchester City and Norwich, who offered between £600,000 and £750,000.

So, its looking like Taylor is set to leave us, but although we are losing a great player, in return we are getting a huge cash sum, which will help the club a lot. But what do you think? Should we take the money? Or what for an higher offer? Or just reject any bids that come into sight?
