Rovers face the second and last of their home pre-season friendlies tomorrow night, with Championship side Crewe Alexandra the opponents. The game kicks off at Prenton Park at 7.45pm and Rovers will be looking to avenge a 5-0 friendly defeat at the hands of Crewe in pre-season just two years ago.
Total Tranmere – All the Previews! Following two goalless draws in their last two friendly games, Rovers will be looking to get back on the scoresheet when Crewe visit Prenton Park on Tuesday night. Rovers have lost just one friendly so far, away 1-0 at Cammell Lairds and have only conceded three goals in the seven games played so far. Crewe beat Rovers 5-0 in a pre-season friendly two seasons ago when Dean Ashton hit a hat-trick and Kevin Gray scored and own goal but Rovers will be looking to give the home fans something to cheer this time around just two weeks before the first league game of the season takes place at Prenton Park. Prices for the game are £7.00 for Adults and £3.00 for Concessions Tranmere look likely to have Calvin Zola back after the ankle injury he sustained at Marine which kept him out of the 0-0 draws at Morecambe and Shrewsbury. Youngster Paul Martin will miss out with a back injury and Theodore Whitmore is still yet to return from Jamaica with a new visa so he too is likely to be absent. Latest Team News
Crewe are likely to have new signing Luke Rodgers, formerly of Shrewsbury in their side to face Rovers and is thought he will be partnered by Michael Boulding. Another new signing, Striker Juan Ugarte from Wrexham is likely to miss the game with injury as is Stuart Tomlinson.
