In our latest Total Tranmere readers poll we asked you to vote for your preferred Rovers strike partnership out of the current options available to Manager Brian Little. After a month of voting on the site, the results are in and it brought possibly the closest result in any of our polls so far.

www.totaltranmere.co.uk – Asking For Your Views!

In total, 124 of you voted in the month-long period in which the poll was active and the results were returned as follows:

Question of the Week
Question: What is Rovers Current Best Striking Combination?
Greenacre and Facey 15%
Greenacre and Zola 7%
Greenacre and Davies 27%
Facey and Zola 0%
Facey and Davies 3%
Greenacre, Facey and Davies 28%
Greenacre Facey and Zola 4%
Some Other Combination 15%
Number of votes: 124

Right up until the last day of voting, the lead switched several times but in the end the leading choice of the Rovers fans by just 1% was a three pronged attack consisting of Chris Greenacre, Delroy Facey and Steve Davies.

This option has been utilised by Brian Little on a number of occasions recently and the poll clearly shows that the fans think that particular combination is working.

The option of Chris Greenacre and Delroy Facey upfront as a twosome was just pipped into second place whilst no fans saw Facey and Calvin Zola as a preferred option in attack.

In recent games during the course of this poll, Davies, Facey and Greenacre have all been on the scoresheet with Davies netting his first senior goal for the Club in the 2-0 win at Doncaster at the end of October.  Chris Greenacre meanwhile has taken his season tally to nine goals with strikes against Bradford City, Scunthorpe and Rochdale.

Delroy Facey has scored three goals in his last three games against Scunthorpe, Rochdale and Swansea.

Calvin Zola and Chris Dagnall have had to settle for fleeting appearances as substitutes recently and are yet to score for Rovers this season so far.

In our next poll, we are asking you where you think Rovers will finish at the end of the season based on their current situation as we approach the busy Christmas and New Year period.  A second, separate poll after the festive period will ask the same question to see if fans opinions have changed.
