Liverpool FC - There's a Cancer In Our Club

By John Christie
July 28 2009

For over two years now our American owners have attached themselves to our club like leeches and sucked the blood from it. Their lies of not leveraging the club with debt were exposed early on, but nothing seems to stop them even though they be thousands of miles away.

They are only too well aware of the hostility, bitterness and utter contempt they are held in, but LFC to them is just another business opportunity. The same game is being played with the banks consent that has led to the world's credit crunch, and governments seem only too quick to bale these avaricious monsters out with our money.

One bad season were we don't finish top four will now be disaster. To pay their debt they WILL sell Torres, Gerrard or whoever. Gillet and Hicks are a cancerous disease at our club and the day is coming where we as fans have to make hard decisions about the future of our club.

To cut this cancer away we might have to refuse to renew our season tickets, with the hope of solidarity from the 65 000 on the waiting list to stand firm.

These monsters are only interested in one thing, their pockets. That's the only place we have the power to hurt them and frighten the banks.

Actually I was too kind to you - you don't even have the sense of a 6-year old. One of the most ignorant and stupid articles I have ever read - and that is saying something !

I find it very amusing that a so called idiot hater sounds like such an idiot.

Rafa seems happy enough with them. But you know best.

These militant, perma negative uber fans are becoming a caricature of themselves.

Rafa has no other option than to be happy with them.

I'm sure, like us all, he would welcome new owners who could get us out of debt by building the new stadium.

I thought we were all Reds on here, debate is what we want not silly comments. We need ta be positive we had big conferences from tom & Jerry pointing our future out for us money for new players. the chance of a new bigger stadium which would cater for a bigger support which could lead ta more fans that struggle getting ticks young old, local fans etc. And all this more fans abroud becoming invovled.

Advertising stunts like "WE BELONG, "ALL RED, boll@cks. Lets get it right at home starting with the board stringing us all along with utteer bullshiiite & lies.

What we have so far, yes higheer position in League, Rafa signing another 5 yrs. But the bigger picture is Debt on club
nothing going on with New bright shiny stadium apaert from one hole dug by the SOS, struggling with new players & a phone & ticketing system that still is shiiite which they have got rid of the PTS which worked a treat but didn't make the club anymore money so there goes the fans which waited yrs for there priority & now start again with another system
that don't work....Happy days.

boycotting season tics, good idea & I would be for that & would stand by it but in reality would not work. You would always get the ones 2 cross a picket line like the club shop
boycott. everytime i'm outside there long queus that didn't work.

lets stand together & make something work & don't have that seperation of us & them.

this is all our club, were proud of it we would all like to see it run in a manner that we can be proud of & not a laughing stock.

Back on topic I was gutted the banks didnt make it tougher for The Yanks. I was really hoping the banks would agree to refinance but ask them to put more of their personal monies into the club without allowing more smoke and mirrors to dump yet more debt on the club. That way then The Yanks would of looked to sell and Liverpool could be rid of them. Ah well, stuck with them for at least another year but it is a catch 22, if Liverpool are successful next season then the price will undoubtedly inflate and will put off buyers.
