Yes, We Have No Bananas

An old story has been doing the rounds about the bloke who used to do the community singing at Wembley in the 50s/60s. Wearing a white suit, standing on a podium brandishing a white baton, he would lead the crowd in a merry sing-a-long to the standard ditties of the day.

He toured the regional grounds to great success, until he arrived in front of the kop that is. He was met with total indifference, but he had an ace up his sleeve. The old classic that even the most miserable of gatherings succumbs to, "Yes We Have No Bananas"!

Alas, to no joy he trudged off the field a defeated man. As he and his podium neared the exit the kop, as one, boomed, YES WE HAVE NO BANANAS!

We Scousers don't like being told what to do by outsiders, whether they be clowns dressed in white, or Mersons ,Cascarinos  and Waddles. We know how to support our club, team and manager, a dam sight better than any half baked ex-pro skywashed to make a headline as was proved last Wednesday night.

Is right! Its about time us real LFC SUPPORTERS showed our support - at the end of the day, there isnt a manager on earth who could do much better given the current circumstances at the club. Were not likely to achieve as much as we should be ON the pitch until things are right OFF the pitch (or at least until we can actually afford to buy players and not asset-strip the squad each window)
