Only when Hodgsons gone can I put my weapon down

By John Christie

We waged a bitter war against our previous owners for nearly three years, and like every war recriminations follow.

The media turned a blind eye to Hicks/Gillett, and instead attacked Rafa. Their agenda against Rafa was shockingly bigoted and xenophobic. The truth was replaced by twisted lies which sky washed fans swallowed without question; I include elements of our own fans as well.  Rafa was the only thing that kept us going for those three years.

His dedication to the job kept the team fighting, even though the squad was getting weaker by the season for lack of real funding. He gave us our pride back in European football, took us to the top of the tree in that area, and kept us challenging for top four and higher in the league.  One bad season out of six would have been well forgiven by the majority of Reds fans but instead the know nothing about football managing director decided he wasn't good enough, and gave us the LMA manager of the year.

Now we are left with Hodgson, the English media darling, but he’s tainted with the last regime and has done nothing to enhance his self serving image, either on or off the pitch.

Only when he’s replaced I will put my gun away, the war is then over.

While I am totally convinced that Hodgson is absolutely clueless in his management of the team, let's not get too carried away. Do not, for a moment, give yourself too much credit for doing your utmost in ridding Liverpool of Hodgson. Save your breath or more specifically your pathetic attempt at writing. Hodgson would be given the golden handshake sooner rather than later... without any interference from you.

There is never any credit sought when caring for something you love . The standard of writing may well be amateurish, unprofessional but its from the heart .A heart that has followed LFC since the late sixties and will till its final beat .The likes of me will always "interfer", stand up and be counted and say our piece when faced with wrong doing or injustice .You are so wrong in telling me to save my breath at so many levels .If people didnt make a stand we would still be in the workhouses wearing clogs .

Squad getting weaker because of no funding? What about the (approximate values) £20 million on Keane, then sold back for just over half? What about the £20million on the injured Aquilani (who I rate, but we needed someone fit and ready to go in the absence of Alonso).
I liked Rafa and thought he done a good job, but he's no saint, he pushed some players towards the door (like Alonso, Arbeloa etc) players who got our team to 2nd!
He's now moved on, Liverpool are moving on, time you moved on as well! For such a loyal fan you clearly don't get behind the club. I didn't want Roy but he's in so give him some chance! No world class manager would have come into the mess that Hicks/Gillett were causing!

Iam behind the club ,the problems Roy isnt hes behind himself .Hes out of his depth and every time he opens his mouth he dids the hole deeper .By the way we had a world class manager who was fighting the tumours every inch of the way .

By the way regards Rafas spending if you are a fan you will of course know his net spend under the tumours avaged to £7.4 mill a season .Arbeloa Rafa done well keeping him for as long as he did as he was desperate to return home to Spain .Alonso had a fantsastic first and last season with us .Rafa tried to sell him to raise cash three years ago for £15/16 MILL ,no offers then .Without doubt one of our great players and question marks will over Rafas handling of him will always be there . Again you have to factor the pressure he was under in always having to sell to buy .He bought some duds but name me a manager who hasnt?

Eh? Keane was only wanted IF he got Barry, and never at the price paid. Rafa done very well to offload him so quick with only a small loss. Aquilani was the only replacement available for a 5 million down payment. all the rest wanted cash up front. We were told by both clubs medical teams that he'd be fit within a month, both were wrong and Rafa replaced ours with top quality medics, something else we have to thank him for. Aqua is a quality player as he proved at the end of last season and had we not been in a scrap for 4th he'd have played more games.

Alonso had two bad seasons previous to Rafa wanting to sell him, and even then he'd rather have kept him as back up, but finances dictated his actions. He wouldn't have been doing his managerial job if he hadn't thought of replacing Alonso. That Alonso went on to have the season of his life is down to the kick up the behind that Rafa gave him. He was never going to say no to Real whether Rafa had tried to sell him or not. As carra said Arbeloa was going home no matter what. he was homesick.

Not behind the club? Do one mate you haven't got a clue. Hodgson is the absolute worst appointment in this clubs modern history. He doesn't get the club or the fans and rafa was right when he said that every single press conference is worse than the one before. He's a defeatest, egotistical, tacticless joke and GETTING BEHIND OUR CLUB means getting RID of this heap before he does anymore damage. He isn't a Liverpool manager, never was, never will be. He was appointed by people who are good at banking but KNOW FECK ALL ABOUT FOOTBALL WHICH NEGATES ANY FANS DUTY TO ACT IN THE LIVERPOOL WAY.

Pellegrini wanted the job.
