DALGLISH IS NO SECOND COMING

Bob Paisley knew he had a diamond, a very special player to replace Kevin Keegan.  Liverpool had kept an eye on the 16 year old Dalglish ever since Shankly had sent him back to Glasgow, homesick, when on trial. We all soon found out what a genius the Glaswegian was as he took our breath away from day one.

The older Kenny felt his home from home was Liverpool, and to this day he’s never left the city, his Liverpool home.

Kenny the player gathered cups galore, then as manager, after the Heysel disaster, led us to even more trophies.  

It was the aftermath of Hillsborough that defined Kenny as the great man we know now. He and his wife Marina sacrificed themselves to the bereaved families. The comfort they gave to everyone in the cities darkest hour will never be forgotten.

This is no second coming. Kenny Dalglish the player, the manager, the man, has never left us; the man is in all our hearts. He is the living embodiment of all which we cherish in the Liverpool Way. Kenny has nothing to prove to us, we totally trust he will do what is best for the club. Win or lose he'll never walk alone.
