LFC "THE TEAM OF MACS"

In 1892 Everton FC left Anfield after a dispute with owner, local brewer, John Houlding. Houlding was left with a stadium that had no team to play in it. He turned to Scotland, whose tricky ball playing footballers were regarded as the best in that day.

The Anfielders, as they were known, were renamed the "Team of Macs”. ROSS, MCOWEN, HANNAH, MCLEAN, KELSO, MCQUE, MCBRIDE, WYLIE, SMITH, MILLER, KELVIN, MCVEAN, CAMERON.

These Scots went on to win titles, and were followed down the ages by other great Scots.  Busby, Liddle, Shankly, Yeats, StJohn, Souness, Hansen, Dalglish to name but a few.

Now that our Scottish manager has brought in Charlie Adam maybe everything in our universe is falling in to its right place.

Charlie, Liverpool will feel like home from home. Welcome.
