Real Madrid hope to sign Steven Gerrard

There is speculation about Steven Gerrard leaving LFC at the end of the seasonto join Los Gallacticos in Spain or Chelski in England.

Newspaper reports claim today that the Real Madrid board have approved making a 30 million bid for Reds skipper Steven Gerrard. Madrid demanded a first option on Steven earlier this year, during the transfer talks of Nando Morientes, but were refused by the Liverpool board. The general feeling among the fans is that Steven Gerrard is not bigger than Liverpool Football Club, and if he wishes to leave then the club should get as much as they possibly can for him and give it to Mr Benitez, whom they are sure will replace Steven with at least three class players. That being said, most kopites would much rather Steven stayed and all realise that he and Carragher are the Scouse heart of the team. Over to you Stevie.
