Welsh in swap deal to Hull City

John Welsh has made his move to Hull City permanent but admitted it's hard to leave his beloved Liverpool. He said: "Liverpool was obviously a tremendous club to be at," he says. "But you can only play so much reserve team football. I will miss Liverpool. I'd always supported them as a kid but I've got ambitions in my life. "I want to achieve things and I see this as a step up. It's the right decision for me. Hull is a club definitely going in the right direction. The stadium, the fans and the coaching staff are unbelievable and we've got quality players. I'm sure we can stay in this division and then build on it next season." The deal involves 17 year old Paul Anderson finally signing professional forms with Liverpool.
