Doolan’s Future in the Balance

Doncaster midfielder John Doolan is waiting to see if the club are going to offer him a new contract before the end of the season.

Doolan’s current deal expires at the end of the season and fans are anxious to discover whether he will remain at the club or not.

 

Doolan was given an extension in December 2003, after which he performed brilliantly for the second half of the season.

 

The central midfielder has been performing consistently this season making 23 starts for the club and in the most case, putting in some decent displays.

 

But rumour has it that Rovers are targeting a central midfielder at the end of the season and Doolan will be allowed to leave on a free.

 

Many fans feel the midfielder should be given another year at the club as he has been on of the best central midfielders at Belle Vue for some time but whether their wish will be granted, is down to Penney and the boardroom staff.
