international call ups for young ones

Man City youngster, Willo Flood has topped his match winning performance for the City's Youth side with an international call up.


Midfielder, Willo Flood is one of six City young players who have been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for the forthcoming World Youth Championships.

He was a member of the Youth side which beat West Ham 2-0 on Tuesday night to book a semi-final place in the FA Youth Cup and has already played for City reserves.

Keeper, Brian Murphy, Paddy McCarthy, Stephen Paisley, Glen Whelan and Stephen Elliott are the other five who will fly to the United Arab Emirates to take part in the prestigious Fifa tournament.

Dubliner, Stephen Paisley and Glen Whelan have also caught the eye of Kevin Keegan and have played in the City reserves.

Defender Paddy McCarthy spent a period on loan at Third Division club Boston this season while Brian Murphy is currently on loan at promotion chasing Oldham Athletic in the Second Division.
