City will start their Premiership campaign with a tough trip to Elland Road to play David O'Leary's Leeds United. November 9th is the day when the Rags come to Maine Road, surely about time we beat them.
City start at LeedsCity have been handed a tough opening day trip to Elland Road on 17th August, as once more they start a season in the Premiership away from home. The first home game brings Kevin Keegan’s old club, Newcastle, to Maine Road and will no doubt reignite all the hype that led up to last seasons cup tie.The Rags make their usual November appearance at Maine Road, this time on the 9th November whilst the return at the Sty is on the 8th February. Boxing Day and New Years day provide interesting holiday fixtures this time around with Villa visiting Maine Road on Boxing Day and City travelling to Goodison for the first game of 2003. The run in doesn’t look to bad with 4 of the last 6 games being at home. The last away game does take City to Anfield though. Party day is scheduled for 11th May 2003, Southampton being the guests as Maine Road hosts its last ever City game. Overall not a bad fixture list despite the tough opener. There is no real run of top six teams and the run in is fine. All fixtures are subject to change for television. If we play like last season expect that to be quite a few. |
