Motherwell 1 - 1 Dundee

A James McFadden goal after 55 minutes got Motherwell a precious SPL point at Fir Park after Lovell put Dundee ahead after only 15 minutes.

Stevie Ferguson started his first game in front of the home fans at Fir Park after Scott Leitch was ruled out through injury and Dougie Ramsay also kept his place in the defence after Daniel Sengewald who still hasn't recovered from last weeks head knock at East End Park was also ruled out.


Dundee also came to Fir Park without key players, Georgi Nemnadze was missing from a side which will cause other teams problems, Sara and Caballero are always a handful. Nacho Novo had to settle for a place on the bench after he failed to recover in time with a rib injury.


Steve Lovell opened the scoring for the visitors with a great header from six yards out, the forward's header flew into the top corner after a great cross from Barry Smith leaving Goalkeeper Stevie Woods helpless.


James McFaddens fifth goal of the season rescued a deserved point for a battling Motherwell side but the performance wasn't enough to give Motherwell three points. The equaliser was well worked when Lehmann caused havoc in the Dundee defence and somehow the ball spun loose to Steven Ferguson, the on loan hitman managed to lift the ball on to the head of the waiting McFadden who obliged with a smart header from six yards out.


The Dundee defence survived a late surge from Motherwell and Stevie Ferguson was very unlucky not score the winner in injury time.
