Ex Motherwell defender Karl Ready did not accept offers from English First Division clubs so he could take his battle with Motherwell to the courts.

Ready

Karl was released from his contract along with 18 others at the end of last season after the club couldn't afford thier wage bill any longer and called in the Administrators to take over the running of the club.

Karl turned down the offers from the English First Division clubs so he could play at non-league Aldershot on a non-contract basis and still take Motherwell to court over the termination of his contract, Ready is not the only player still angry over the move to release the 19 players last summer.

Another player to stick the boot in has been Eddie Forrest, getting released has left Defender gutted at having to leave full time football to play at Berwick Rangers on a part time contract and regularly has a go at the club which was highlighted when Motherwell beat Celtic, he complained that owner John Boyle shouldn't have been in the dug out celebrating at the final whistle.

Midfield reject Roberto Martinez is also looking for compensation.
