Butcher moving on ?

After the sacking of Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Motherwell manager Terry Butcher is rumoured to be on the Ipswich shortlist.

Ex Motherwell defender George was sacked at Ipswich after a poor start to their First Division campaign only winning three of their first ten league matches, failing to recapture the form which took them into the Premiership and the UEFA Cup in recent seasons.

The BBC site has reported that Terry Butcher could be on the Ipswich shortlist. Terry spoke to BBC Sport Online: "I'm employed at Motherwell at the moment and I'm really enjoying it. I'm happy at Fir Park".


Terry is a legend down Portman Road way and is still Ipswich through and through which has led to the rumours that he could be in line for the job.
