What can you say ? no Motherwell fan really expected anything from this game anyway. Motherwell travelled to Ibrox minus star James McFadden who is out suspended and Captain Scott Leitch who is still recovering from a knee injury.

The trouble started for Motherwell after only two minutes when Rangers defender Lorenzo Amorouso scored from a corner leaving Woods stranded. The home side were always in control of this game and made sure the points stayed at Ibrox when flying winger Peter Lovenkrands scored with a rare header after 72 minutes and Ronald De Boer finished the scoring with a goal in injury time just after Partridge was sent off.

Partridge
Motherwell's cause was not helped with 15 minutes left when David Partridge was shown a straight red card for a shocking late challenge on Rangers hot head defender Fernando Ricksen. The sending off means that the defender will join McFadden in the stand serving their suspension against Livingston.
There was good news for Motherwell fans today when Darren Jack made his debut and it was also good to see ex Rangers striker Ian Russell make an appearence.
Fortunatly the defeat doesen't alter our League position, we're still sitting 9th but we now have to get points on the board in the next couple of weeks against relegation rivlals Livingston, Partick Thistle and Dundee United.
