Terry Butcher reckons Aberdeen will have forgotten about their 7 - 0 thrashing from Celtic last weekend and will be ready for the 3rd round CIS Cup clash at Pittodrie.

Speaking about Aberdeen's heavy defeat, Butcher said "Aberdeen had a disappointing result but I think they would say the same thing as I would: this is another game and has nothing to do with the games against the Old Firm."I don't think what happens in those games has any bearing on what happened before or what will happen after you play them. "It's not nice to be beaten 7-0 but they will try to put that at the back of their minds and try to forget about it. That's what we tried to do when we beat Celtic."

Terry also stated that all the players were feeling down after reading the papers and seeing Motherwell sitting bottom with only 9 points. Wedneddays tie gives the players a chance to forget about thier shocking league form and try and get back to winning ways. David Partridge returns from his two match suspension. Top scorer James McFadden could miss the 3rd round clash after he picked up a thigh strain at the weekend.
