Motherwell 1 - 2 Dundee United

As the weeks go on it look's increasingly likely that Motherwell will be playing First Division football next season, six sraight defeats in a row have now left us stranded at the bottom three points behind relegation rivals Partick Thistle who play Celtic this weekend.

It took United only one minute to open the scoring and after that went in, it never looked like we could anything from this match. Jim Hamilton getting a rare start for United took his oportunity banging in two goals, his firs of the season.

Terry who had top scorer James McFadden, Captain Scott Lietch and Keith Laslay out injured started the match with three forward's, Lehmann, Ferguson and Kemas who was subbed half way through the first half making way for Celtic goalscoring hero Shaun Fagan, his first game since Dunfermline away. The move did strenthen the midfield but on the day United wanted the win more than us.Dirk Lehmann went on to get his fourth goal for Motherwell this season.


Motherwell had given free ticket's away to local school children to try and generate a bit of atmosphere but with only 5381 turning up it looks like even with free ticket's it's going to be hard getting these young fan's back after a dismal display.
