As the transfer window is about to be opened in January, most club's are now making up their shortlist for new signing's to boost their squad's.

Motherwell manager Terry Butcher is no different from the rest despite the club being in administration. Terry has brought in two new faces to train with the club, the first is Australian midfielder Noel Spencer, standing at an impressive 6ft 1in. He is currently playing in Australia with Northern Spirit who were once a feeder club to our rivals Glasgow Rangers. As well as playing in the holding role in the midfield, he can also fill in at centre half and this is the type of player Terry should be looking at with his type of budget. The 25 year old once played for Australia in the Olympic games.


The other trialist is 28 year old Goalkeeper Ian McCaldon who once played for SPL club Livingston, Ian is currently with English lower league Oxford United and is desperate for a move that will give him first team football but Frenchman Dubourdeau will have something to say about that and on his current form Ian would struggle to oust the young Keeper.
