This Thursday ex - Motherwell manager Alex McLeish brings his Rangers side to Fir Park for the live BBC match of the day.

Terry Butcher will be hoping his young side can keep their three match unbeaten run going on Thursday, two vital away draws against Dundee and Aberdeen and an excellent 6 - 1 home win against Hearts has saw Motherwell close the gap on Dundee United to one point and now we have one game in hand. A win on Thusday could see us leap frog our relegation rivals. Terry will have the biggest squad in recent weeks to choose from for the match, only Shaun Fagan ( suspended )and Keith Lasley ( Knee injury ) are missing from the squad but both will be ready to face Livingston at the City Stadium on Sunday.

Lasley is injured

The League leaders are unbeaten this season under Alex McLeish but Fir Park is one of the few places Alex hasn't won at ( never had many wins as Motherwell mananger either ) whilst the Rangers boss but he'll be confident his side can keep their impressive run going into the new year. Rangers only visit as Rangers manager came last season in a 2 - 2 draw. Maurice Ross, Neil McCann and Mikel Arteta are doubtful for the visitors.

The Well Experinece Prediction :- If Rangers play like they did on Sunday against Partick then Motherwell could snatch a draw but when do the league leaders play as bad as that twice in one week ? Motherwell 1 - 3 Rangers.
