Hammell is gutted

Motherwell defender Stevie Hammell is gutted at having to wait longer to make his 100th appearance for the club.

The experienced defender broke into the side under Billy Davies three seasons ago and it's hard to beleive he's still only 20 ! ! !. Stevie had hoped to get his 100th game at Rugby Park at the end of the month but he's out suspended after crashing through the points barrier after bookings in the Livingston and Partick Thistle matches. His suspension will be the first time he's been out of the starting eleven all season. The only match where he hasn't completed 90 minutes was at Killie when he had to be substituted after getting injured from a horrendous tackle from Andy McLaren


Stevies 99 appearances at the club have came under four different managers, Billy Davies, John Philleben ( caretaker ), Eric Black and now Terry Butcher.
