Butcher Feels Players were not trying as hard.

A second half penalty from Hibs' Grant Brebner and an injury time goal in Dundee United's encounter means if Falkirk are allowed up there is a good chance we will be playing in the first divison next season.
Terry Butcher was furious at his players yesterday after what seemed a game which Motherwell did not show 100% effort and commitment.
Butcher thought that they played as if they were taking it for granted that Falkirk would not be allowed up.
Motherwell are in a dodgy position now and need to win their last two games. The results in the SPL yesterday could be the ones that put Motherwell down for the first time in about 20 years. We are now relying strongly on the SPL chairmen's decision.
