Aberdeen Preview

It's the weekend that all Motherwell fans have not been looking forward too. Motherwell face Aberdeen at Fir Park and defeat would see the Fir Parkers relegated for the first time for 19 seasons.

Motherwell are currently four points behind Dundee United with only two matches left. We have two home games against Aberdeen and Livingston to try and salvage our season.
Both teams form could not be any different, Aberdeen have only lost 1 match in their last 7 while Motherwell have only managed 1 draw in their last 10 outings ! Aberdeen will be without the services of McGuire and Anderson who are out through a hamstring injury and suspension.

Sheerin scores ! Aberdeen's 1st minute penalty which gave them 3 points in our last meeting at Fir Park.
Confidence will be low in the home camp, this week Terry Butcher had the hard task of telling 7 players they were no longer needed by the club, Ramsay, Woods, Clarke, Lehmann and Jack were told their contracts wouldn't be renewed while Offiong and Vaughan were told they would be sent back to their clubs. Terry will also be without the services of long term injury pair Cowan and Fagan. It will be Derek Adams and Dirk Lehmann's last chance to pull on a Motherwell shirt this season as both are suspended for the Livi match, let's hope Terry gives the fans a chance to thank Dirk for his services to the club.
Pride of Lanarkshire prediction - The form of both clubs suggest only one outcome, an Aberdeen win but in the SPL form means nothing. It's now ten games since we've won and 15 since we kept a clean sheet but I'm going for a 1 - 1 draw but I doubt it will be enough to avoid relegation.
Motherwell 1 - 1 Aberdeen
