Forfar win on penalties !

After the credible performance at Celtic Park on Saturday Motherwell made hard work of their CIS Cup second round meeting with part timers Forfar Athletic and were punished for it. The Steelmen lost on penalty kicks after a 3 - 3 draw in regulation time.

It had looked so good early on when Steven Craig fired Motherwell in front after only 3 minutes but a strike from Henderson and a double from Tosh shocked Terry Butcher's side by putting Forfar into a 3 - 1 lead.



Midfielders Stephen Pearson and Keith Lasley pulled Motherwell level but the Fir Park side lost on penalties. David Clarkson and Stevie Hammell missed with their efforts as Forfar went into the 3rd round draw tomorrow.
