Motherwell 0 - 1 Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Motherwell's 2004 Scottish Cup run ended with a 1 - 0 defeat from Inverness Caley at Fir Park today.
Caley who were one of the worst sides to visit Fir Park this season ( yes I'm including Partick ) won the tie through a lucky strike from Barry Wilson after only 10 minutes.
Motherwell had the bulk of the possession but failed to trouble Mark Brown throughout the game. The closest they came to scoring in the first half was when a mix up by the Caley defence almost saw the ball cross the line but Brown had a easy catch.
Terry Butcher fired his side up at half time but when they came out they found the Caley defence to hard to break down.
Kenny Wright was thrown on with 30 minutes left and created a few chances for Burns but Brown was in stubborn mood.
Motherwell fans will now have to wait a year for their chance to make Hampden.
