Preston striker Simon Lynch has seen his loan spell at local rivals Blackpool extended to a third month..............

Striker Simon Lynch is to stay on loan at rivals Blackpool for a third month.

Lynch 22, is yet to score in nine appreances for Blackpool, but manager Colin Hendry is keen to keep the striker on at Blackpool (must be getting assists  ) as he looks to keep the struggling club out of the relegation places.

Speaking on the Blackpool website Lynch went on to say...

"I'm confident we can get out of it - hopefully i'll play a few games and help the club away from the relegation zone"

Lynch has found himself slipping down the pecking order at Preston and with the arrival of new man David Nugent, a successful spell out on loan seems the only way to grab the attention of manager Billy Davies, barring any catastrophies.

Since Lynch's £150,000 move to Deepdale in January 2003 from Celtic the Canadian has failed to impress after 10 apperances, 8 from the bench, he has scored 1 goal and seen red once before being loaned out to Stockport and now Blackpool.
