Ward signs 1year contract extension

Preston have announced that keeper Gavin Ward has signed a 1 year extension to his contract, which was due to expire in the summer.

Keeper Ward has only made 10 appearances for North End, largely due to the form of first choice keeper Andy Lonergan.

He was handed the jersey against Ipswich after Lonergan unfortunatley sustained an injury in training forcing him to miss the rest of the season, but unluckily for him he injured his eye in the match , and was told to rest completely for two weeks.

He will now battle it out for the jersey with new signing Carlo Nash.
