Zigor Rumour - Derby bid...

TheSaddlersFC has received an unconfirmed report suggesting that it was Derby trying to sign Aranalde last week.

Rumours on the various Walsall forums had suggested another first division had shown an interest in Zigor.  

Our source has indicated that Derby County made an initial bid of £50,000 for Aranalde, which was rejected by the Saddlers. It is believed the club wanted an increased offer from Derby which didn't come along. 

Derby, needing a left back, consequently swooped for the on-loan Jamie Vincent.

Quite why they would have bid for Zigor first, then moved for the free Jamie Vincent is unclear. But our source seemed sure that the Rams had been sniffing around our Zigor.
