Rangers close the gap back to two points

Another 1-0 win for one of the Old Firm tonight, this time for Rangers as they beat Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

A spectacular over head kick from Jelavic midway through the first half was enough to win the game at Pittodrie.

Interestingly Aberdeen fielded a strong side ahead of their Cup Semi with Celtic on Sunday. They obviously did not want to be accused of laying to o of their old rivals!

It appears the Old Firm are going to grind out results until the two collide once again on Easter Sunday, in what is looking more and more like it could be a title decider.

The balance could shift slightly at the weekend when Rangers have a League game on Saturday against St. Mirren at Ibrox, this could see them edge a point ahead with an extra game played.

One key question outstanding is when will the Inverness v Celtic game be played, as it now looks as though this will be after the split, does this give anyone an advantage?

No doubt there are more twists and turns to come before we get to the end of the season.
