What is going on in our country?
Lennon

With the news today three parcel bombs have been sent to Neil Lennon and three prominent Celtic supporters, has this now gone beyond a football problem.
This is maybe not the place to discuss this story as it has now gone beyond football as far as I am concerned.
This is the third or fourth time Lennon has been targeted by lunatics, and I am not sure why? I know he is a Northern Ireland Internationalist managing Celtic but is this enough reason to send him a parcel bomb in the post?
Then by association Paul McBride QC, Lennon’s lawyer, and former MSP Trish Godman. They seem to be targeted by association or by simply being a high profile Celtic supporter.
As I said this is not a football problem but a deep seated cultural problem in our society, and despite he money and education spent by both Celtic and Rangers they are making is insignificant.
If the recent “shame game” between the clubs brought about a summit at the Scottish Parliament, surely this latest situation is more worthy of a summit. I don’t remember seeing any of the major parties having anything in their manifesto dealing with the problem if they come to power on 5th May.
Hopefully one of the first actions any party taking over will do is to tackle this problem at the root.
