Romanov goes off on one - again

Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov went off on another rant today, having a go at the press on the club’s website.

The Hearts supremo was reacting to the press reaction to the sacking of Jim Jeffries and Billy Brown. The two members of the management team had received a warm reaction in the press after their removal.

The Lithuanian businessman told Hearts' website, heartsfc.co.uk: "Judging by the pre-planned squeals the media monkeys are making, Hearts has hit the point with the move.

"I believe that with only one competitive win in 15 games, only fools and idiots would not raise questions and suspicions.

"I now understand whyScotlandis in 61st place in FIFA rankings behind such poor football countries likeLithuania,AlbaniaandGabon."

This is the second time he has compared the press to monkeys, even leaving bananas in the Press Room the last time it was mentioned.

Romanov is good copy for the papers, websites and also the phone ins on Radio, but is he someone who can be respected for the way he runs such a traditional, old Scottish football institution.

He has a habit of getting rid of manager’s when they have taken Hearts to a new level, George Burley anyone!! His interference, apparently, in team affairs has often caused problems with previous managers.

Hearts fans were glad to get rid of Robertson and Foulkes but they may be looking to get the Pie Man back!!!
