Danny Murphy believes Liverpool's last-gasp winner against Chelsea could prove to have a "massive" say in the destination of the Barclaycard Premiership title.
Vladimir Smicer volleyed a 92nd-minute winner to send Gerard Houllier's men back to the top of the table.
Murphy told Sky Sports: "With Man United losing on Saturday it was important for us to capitalise, and Vlad has come good and scored a great goal.
"It was massive. We had a tough game against Roma last Tuesday where we used a lot of energy to come through.
"In the first half I think Chelsea probably shaded it, but we dominated after the break.
"Now Arsenal have got to go to Man United, and Man United have got to go to Leeds next week. We've just got to make sure we keep winning our games."
