Aston Villa travel to Ewood Park tomorrow hoping to beat a 100-year old club record of nine successive away league games without defeat. Blackburn on the other hand will be looking to record their fourth straight home league win.

Aston Villa team news: Olof Mellberg will return after serving his one-match ban so Aaron Hughes is expected to move across to full-back with Samuel dropping to the bench. Delaney has still not recovered from his knee injury so will miss out again.

Blackburn team news: Mark Hughes has been boosted by the news that Morten Gamst Pederson has shaken off a hamstring injury and will start the match. Fellow midfielder Tugay remains on the sidelines with a calf strain.
