Campo Return To Mallorca Possible?

Real Mallorca are said to want to bring Bolton Wanderers star Ivan Campo back to Spain according to reports emerging from the continent.

Campo has been cursed with a number of injury woes over the last fourteen months and his agent claims that a move back to the Spanish holiday resort would appeal to the one time Real Madrid star.

The 31-year old defensive midfielder spent the 1997-98 season on loan to Mallorca and made 33 appearances at the Estadio Son Moix in the process but Bolton seem reluctant to want to lose the Reebok Stadium crowd favourite.

"Someone has called us to say that Mallorca are interested," Miguel Angel Cermeno told Spanish paper Marca.

"Ivan would be delighted to go back to Palma and although he is highly valued at Bolton it would be very sad and a scandal if nothing happens."

Campo has made over 100 appearances for the Wanderers since moving from Madrid in August 2002.
