Spy in the Sedgley Park Camp

Sedgley park won for the first time this season last Saturday against London Welsh, who themselves have not had a good season.

Park did not win on the road at all last season in the league and have continued that lack of form this season.

Park have a number of players 'on loan' players from Sale including winger Andy Vilk, prop Martin Halsall, scrum half Chris Leck and 2nd row Ben Lloyd. Sedgley visited Brickfields at the end of last season just after they had only lost to Harlequins in the last four matches. But it was no close match in Plymouth as Albion ran in 8 tries in the 55 - 7 win. Too late to make any real difference to the table as relegation had been abolished and Quins had already made it back to premiership rugby.

A brace of tries to Regardt, Keni and Nic and their first tries of the season to Ed Lewsey and Ryan Hopkins in a nine try match for 2556 spectators to applaud and Ed Barnes 15 points with the boot. Sedgley park did not show the talent that they must of had to beat Pirates, Exeter and Doncaster and moved back into bottom place in the league.

This time last year

This time last year Albion were not looking too close to the top of the table although they were in 4th place, having lost 4 of their 8 league matches, today we are on 8 from 10 and in 5th place. Then there are only 4 points between the top 6 teams this season.

Also last year the fixture on 12th November was against another team at the bottom of the table, London Welsh.

Sixth placed Plymouth Albion entertain bottom of the table Sedgley Par at Brickfields looking to close the four point gap on Earth Titans who have a tough match against the Cornish Pirates.

Albion are looking for a third consecutive win after losing two out of three to fall of the pace slightly and will buoyed after their win over the Titans last Saturday.

Sedgley Park got their first win of the season last Saturday at home to London Welsh at the 10th attempt this season.

They remained bottom despite joining Waterloo on nine points having won just once compared to Waterloo who have won twice. They have only played three times on the road and lost them all picking up just a losing bonus point at Moseley along the way.

Albion were comfortable winners 55-7 in this fixture last season and with a 25-8 win at Park Lane did the double over Sedgley Park.

Prediction: Albion to win by 12 points.
