Albion take on the Army at Brickfields for the 2nd match under the new floodlights. Greg Goodfelow from Harwick named at 9 in a mixed team of regular 1st team and warriors.

Albion name a mixed side to take on the Army at Brickfields on Wednesday under the captaincy of Jersey centre Ross Allen. Ross has performed well in this role for most of the Warriors matches this season although he does find it strange taking the pre match talk with a number of 1st team players.
According to the Herald Albion will be adding Greg Goodfellow at scrum half who is on loan/trial from Harwick and at 22 has 'pushed' our own Matt Newman to the bench.

With the match switched due the condition of the pitch at Brickfields Albion had to make the long trip to Aldershot to take on a strong Army side in the driving rain.
Both Tom Arscott and Wihan Neethling played a full 80 minutes but David Delaney was handed the kicking duties.
With late arrival of the team the match start was delayed and the Army came out strong scoring first.
Whilst Albion had the wind behind them in the first half they failed to take advantage of it going into the turn around 14 – 7 down.
Considering the conditions and the strong side the Army put on the pitch Albion played well particularly in the second half when they were playing into the wind picking up a penalty try after persistent infringements.

Thought Greg played a pretty steady game last night.Nothing fancy,a good steady service and NO errant kicking....definitely a good prospect.
As for the game it was nice to see some tries scored and some good style of rugby played which has been sadly lacking in other quarters(I await the saints game to reflect).
Pity it went a bit flat in the last 20 but a certain substitution was made and it became dull.
Fairplay to the Army they competed very strongly to the final whistle.
And very welldone to our guys for a very good display on playing a game of rugby, it's something i have missed many times this season and has given me and others around me a lift.

C'mon Albiiioooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.I believe he is the more all round player than Ross.Sorry Ross but it's the way i see it.
Brad's never a 12 ,sorry for that Brad.
It's only my opinion and what i see, and to a point will it be recognised by those that should recognise .
I think a lot of us are starting to get a clear picture now from previous players who have left.
