England to face USA, Slovenia and Algeria

England will face the USA, Algeria and Slovenia in Group C at next years World Cup Finals in South Africa. England kick off their World Cup campaign against the United States in Rustenburg on 12th June 2010, followed by Algeria in Cape Town on 18th June and Slovenia in Port Elizabeth on 23rd June.

England are early favourites to win the group - with initial reaction from the England camp sounding that this a favourable draw.

But England will be taking nothing for granted - Slovenia have already been responsible for knocking Russia out at the qualifying stages.

England's seeding as a top eight team meant that they were guaranteed to miss Brazil, Spain, Holland, Italy, Germany and Argentina and South Africa at the group stages.

England have never faced Slovenia or Algeria in the World Cup - and their last meeting with the USA ended in a 1-0 defeat in the 1950 World Cup finals, still one of the biggest exit shocks in the competitions 80 year history.

Pleased with the draw in terms of the teams we are playing reckon it oculd be a relatively easy group to qualify from however think the USA could cause us some problems...

The draw as a eurovision song contest replica... It was an absoloute Farce... Beckham looked a fool with that hair cut and the duo of dumb blonde and badly speaking english guy was an absoloute joke it took ages to get through... all it needed was a drunk terry wogan (as we all know he is the eurovison God and graham norton is not even in the same league as Wogan) and some bad songs and it would have actually been the eurovision song contest...

anyway rant over... BTW how amazingly beautiful is Charlize Theron... also heard she read out Ireland's name in the practice when she drew the France ball
