David James: "Capello to blame"

England goal keeper David James is furious that Fabio Capello waited until just 1 hour 45 minutes before kick off on Saturday to name his first choice keeper. James insists that he has no issue with Rob Green starting ahead of him against the USA - infact James was one of the first to speak out in support of the West Ham keeper after a 40th minute blunder allowed Dempsey to sneak a USA equaliser.
However, James is angry that he seems to have lost the support of manager Capello after not being given what he describes as a fair chance to make the starting line up.
It would appear that James had the backing of his team mates, but there was a noticable air of grievance surrounding James on Saturday evening, after he blanked England's general manager Franco Baldini during a warm up at the Rustenburg Stadium.
James is most annoyed at his lack of chance to impress during England's final warm up game. Rumours that James were and still is injured are furiously denied by the 39 year old Portsmouth keeper. Nonetheless, it could increase Joe Hart's chances of playing should Capello choose not to stick with Green next Friday.
Robert Green remains the bookies odds on favourite to start against Algeria next Friday.
