Capello to ring the changes for England

Fabio Capello has already spoken out in public about the changes he expects to make to his England side, having learned this afternoon that the FA have given him their full backing to stay on as manager. Capello stated that he was "extremely proud" to be England manager, and had already begun an assessment of what went wrong at South Africa this summer.

One of the incidents that had everyone's tongues wagging was 'that press conference' by John Terry.  His timing in the middle of the qualifying stages could barely have been worse, and rumours about a rift between Terry and Capello, as well as with new England captain Steven Gerrard; who replaced Terry after the scandle in his private life, were rife.  Adding fuel to the fire were the comments from Capello during the aftermath of that press conference, during which he labelled Terry's actions as a "big mistake".

Could Terry therefore face the chopping block from the England set up?  Capello has already more than hinted that several players under performed this summer, and his answer?  Replace them for the Euro qualifiers which kick off this September.

Capello will now be looking to the future, and with England back in action in just a few weeks time with a pre-qualifier warm up against Hungary, Capello will be looking to ring the changes to ensure the same mistakes are not repeated.
