Ghana Agogo to the Semi-Finals
Junior A-Hero

Forest star Junior Agogo scored his second goal at the African Nations Cup to send home nation Ghana into the semi-finals of the tournament. The muscular centre forward, Forest’s top scorer so far this season, is having a fine tournament as the Ghana number nine.
And as Agogo took the adulation of 50,000 adoring Ghanaians, his circumstances could scarcely be more contrasting to those of the Reds – who fell to a 0-2 defeat at lowly Bournemouth on Saturday.
Ghana fell a goal behind to a 34th minute penalty from Everton’s Yakubu, but Ghana fought back against Nigeria with an equaliser from Michael Essien on the stroke of half time.
Captain Mensah was sent off for a professional foul, but Ghana continued to attack and were rewarded when Forest star Junior Agogo peeled off his marker to tuck home from 4 yards.
Congratulations are due to Junior and we wish him every success in the tournament.
But Forest could make use of his talents back here, to say the least.
