Yakubu set to crack in 20

Everton’s Nigeria international Yakubu is looking to score around 20 goals for the Toffees this coming season now he has recovered from an Achilles injury.

However, the 26-year-old could find himself missing out on the early days of the new campaign, even though he has returned to training eight months on from receiving the injury. The striker said:"I don't know when I'll be back playing but it's been good to be training with the team. My injury is getting better and better. "I'm just being patient, working hard, setting goals and sticking to them. "I'm happy that we have such good quality up front now and it'll be great to fight for my place. "Every year the side is getting better. We're getting stronger as a unit and we're building. It's great. "I just want to keep fit, get better and score goals and hopefully get to a Final and win a trophy. "I've never scored below ten goals in a season but I want to score more. I want to score as many as I can, over 20 hopefully."
